TRT Former Announcer Sırrı Er: “This country belongs to all of us…”

First of all, as a child of spring, I sincerely celebrate Hıdırellez, the herald of spring.
I wish that this special time, when winter ends, summer begins, and nature comes back to life, brings peace, abundance, health, and prosperity first to our country, then to the whole world and humanity.
May your wishes come true and your hearts be at peace.

Everything has three fundamental pillars. For example, “the three pillars of education are family, school, and society.” Likewise, this country also has three pillars: the people, the government, and the opposition. The people, the government, and the opposition are the three main foundations.

The strongest pillar, the people, are not even aware of their own power. When the people are unaware of their strength, the government goes unchecked and the opposition avoids responsibility.

The balance is disturbed, and the scales lose their measure. At that point, politics ceases to exist “for the people” and turns into a performance within itself.

The government presents its own truths as absolute reality. The opposition, on the other hand, merely tries to “save appearances” — not doing what is truly necessary in essence, but managing how things look from the outside to avoid criticism.

The people, accepting the situation, become mere spectators in the game played between these two structures. Yet the true owner of this order and its strongest pillar is the people themselves.

If the people are not conscious and aware, justice, law, and democracy remain incomplete. Democracy requires individuals who have freed themselves from servitude. I do not say these things just for the sake of words. I talk about them every day in my videos.

If problems are not discussed, they become normalized. And every issue that becomes normalized is eventually accepted as fate. Once a problem is seen as “fate,” the will to change or improve it weakens.

This country belongs to all of us…
