Opposition party leaders are demanding the disclosure of the names behind the alleged fund fraud. But who really does not know who they are? In reality, everyone knows. Apparently, the only people in the dark are AKP officials! Otherwise, why keep the list hidden?
A secret shared by two people is no longer a secret. The AKP is falling apart, and the consequences will be severe. This scandal cannot simply be swept under the rug.
Those who once presented themselves as the saviors of a cause have rushed to feast at the table of ill-gotten wealth. These are people who have abandoned their humanity in pursuit of plunder. Only an independent judiciary and a genuine day of reckoning can expose their corruption and deliver justice. They could never get enough while feeding themselves from ill-gotten gains. May everything they have taken turn to poison!
In the past, only a small number of those governed were involved in theft and corruption. When such crimes occurred, institutional officials and those responsible would take action within the framework of the law.
Today, however, fund fraud has evolved into a system of plunder involving those in power and individuals operating under their protection. Institutions and their administrators should be safeguarding public assets. Instead, those orchestrating the looting have turned positions of authority into instruments of organized criminal activity.
Let there be no misunderstanding: our criticism does not extend to honest and honorable people. But this government has hardly made room for individuals who are qualified, principled and committed to integrity!
To the government’s official and unofficial partners: Are you blind to what is happening? Why conceal even the list of names? The truth will come out sooner or later.
Those who shield these unscrupulous individuals are no better than the people they protect. Anyone who covers up a robbery becomes an accomplice to it.
The way to expose the hypocritical peddlers of religion and bring them out of their hiding places is to stand firmly behind honest people. Thieves and fraudsters have no sense of shame. They are willing to sell even their own honor for personal gain.
An independent judiciary must investigate these individuals and their entire networks, extending its scrutiny to every family connection where relevant. Those who transfer what they have stolen to exploitative foreign states and serve the interests of those countries are nothing more than fraudsters willing to betray their own country.
Can any of this be acceptable in a state governed by the rule of law?
