TUIK has announced the Economic Confidence Index data for June 2026. The index climbed 1.8% to 98.9 from May’s 97.2 level. Monthly gains were recorded across the consumer, real sector, services, retail trade, and construction confidence indices.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has released the Economic Confidence Index data for June 2026. According to the report, the economic confidence index experienced a 1.8% month-on-month increase, climbing to 98.9 in June from 97.2 in May. The newly disclosed figures highlight the shifting confidence trends across the consumer, real sector, services, retail trade, and construction industries.
Data from TUIK indicates that the consumer confidence index surged by 2.5% compared to the previous month, reaching 87.9. Concurrently, the real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index registered a 1% growth, moving up to the 102.0 mark.
The services sector confidence index grew by 1.4% in June to settle at 110.5, while the retail trade sector confidence index edged up by 0.3%, calculated at 112.8. Additionally, the construction sector confidence index rose by 1.1% month-on-month, landing at 83.0.
Every single core sector utilized in calculating the overall economic confidence index saw a month-on-month increase in June. TUIK noted that the announced index values are seasonally adjusted, with the exception of the consumer confidence index, which does not carry seasonal effects.
The June 2026 Economic Confidence Index metrics shed light on the latest monthly outlook of confidence indicators within the Turkish economy, with the shifts in the sub-indices being shared with the public under official statistics.
