Buying activity spread across a broad range of stocks on Borsa Istanbul on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The BIST All-100 (XTUMY) index climbed 3.46% to 37,583.35 points as of 10:34 a.m. local time. Meanwhile, the BIST IPO Index advanced 4.76%, highlighting particularly strong momentum among smaller and mid-sized companies.

Borsa Istanbul opened Wednesday’s trading session on a positive note, with gains extending beyond the market’s largest companies. According to the figures available at 10:34 a.m., XTUMY had advanced from its previous close of 36,325.61 points to 37,583.35. During the session, the index reached an intraday high of 37,624.55.

Smaller and mid-cap stocks recorded particularly strong gains. The BIST 100 rose 2.02% to 11,246.31 points, while the BIST All index gained 2.28%. The BIST 100-30 advanced 2.50%, indicating that positive sentiment was not confined to a single segment of the market. The BIST IPO Index outperformed the other benchmark indices with a 4.76% increase.

IPO Stocks Lead the Market Gains

The differences in performance among the indices suggest that buying interest extended beyond large-cap stocks. The stronger advance in the IPO segment and smaller companies points to increased market activity across a wider range of equities.

Sustainability of the Rally Remains in Focus

XTUMY’s stronger performance compared with the BIST 100 emerged as one of the session’s notable developments. However, whether the gains will develop into a sustained recovery will depend on trading volumes, the balance between advancing and declining stocks, and the market’s performance toward the close.

The available figures indicate strengthening demand for smaller and mid-sized stocks. Nevertheless, there is not yet sufficient evidence to attribute the rally to a specific economic or political development.
