Türkiye's Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced that monthly inflation was 0.99% in June, while annual inflation declined to 32.1%. He said the disinflation process has resumed following earlier disruptions.

According to TUIK’s May 2026 inflation data, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.71% monthly and 32.61% annually. While food prices declined on a monthly basis, housing and transportation costs continued to rise.
