Bahçeli Delivers Strong Message on CHP and Domestic Politics

Speaking at the MHP parliamentary group meeting, Bahçeli stated that Türkiye is currently experiencing a period of heightened political tension and warned against developments that could harm democratic institutions.

He stressed that legal disputes should not be transformed into street confrontations, declaring, “No one should dare to destabilize Türkiye.” Bahçeli argued that political debates surrounding the CHP must not be allowed to weaken national institutions and social harmony.

Emphasis on a “Terror-Free Türkiye”

A significant portion of Bahçeli’s speech focused on the “Terror-Free Türkiye” vision. He described the initiative not merely as a security policy but as a strategic step shaping Türkiye’s future in the new century.

According to Bahçeli, Türkiye’s security should not be viewed solely within the framework of its current borders but must also be considered in the broader context of the Turkish and Islamic worlds.

Criticism of Israel and Renewed Call for a Jerusalem Pact

Addressing developments in the Middle East, Bahçeli strongly criticized Israel’s policies toward Palestinians. He highlighted the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and called for greater solidarity among Islamic countries.

Bahçeli also renewed his proposal for a “Jerusalem Pact,” arguing that stronger economic, political, and military cooperation among Muslim nations is essential for regional stability and peace.

Criticism of the United States and the Global Order

Bahçeli argued that the international system is undergoing a profound crisis, claiming that institutions such as the United Nations, NATO, and European Union are steadily losing influence.

He criticized U.S. regional policies and called for an end to unconditional support for Israel. Bahçeli also suggested that Türkiye and the Organization of Turkic States could play a more active role in efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

“Clean Politics, Clean Governance”

In the final section of his speech, Bahçeli addressed corruption allegations and investigations involving municipalities. He argued that anyone found misusing public resources should be held accountable under the law, regardless of political affiliation.

Reaffirming the MHP’s commitment to clean politics and transparent governance, Bahçeli called for greater accountability, stronger ethical standards, and increased transparency in political life.

Concluding his remarks, Bahçeli stated that the People’s Alliance would continue working to strengthen Türkiye’s security, economic development, and national unity.
