CMB Says Claims Do Not Reflect the Facts

In its statement, the CMB said reports and online claims alleging that foreign financial institutions had generated excessive profits, withdrawn from the market after securing substantial gains, closed all their existing positions and completely liquidated their portfolio assets did not reflect the facts.

Transparency and Equal Treatment Emphasized

The regulator stated that its regulatory processes had been completed in line with the principles of transparency and predictability, with the views and assessments of relevant stakeholders taken into consideration.

The CMB also emphasized that draft and final regulations were announced to the public simultaneously, without any discrimination between domestic and foreign investors in terms of access to information.
