According to PanoramaTR’s “Justice and Judiciary System in Türkiye” survey, 76% of the country says, “If I end up in court, I fear I may face injustice.”
This means the bond of trust between citizens, the state, and the justice system has been broken.
And do you know what is even more striking?
Not only opposition voters… 46% of AK Party voters believe that the government interferes with the judiciary.
The percentage of people who do not trust the judiciary has risen from 62% to 72% in just one year. Meanwhile, 85% of society says that “comprehensive reform in the justice system is essential.”
If people in a country go to court not to seek justice, but fearing they may suffer another injustice, then that country is facing a very serious state crisis.
And the painful part is this:
A party that came to power under the name “Justice and Development” has, after 24 years, created a situation in which the overwhelming majority of society effectively says, “Do not entrust me to Turkish courts.”
Moreover, while public trust in local courts is declining, the growing trust in the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court is also deeply telling.
A political story that began with the promise of “justice” turning into a Türkiye where 76% of society no longer trusts the judiciary is not only a political failure, but also a major historical tragedy.
Whatever you claim to stand for, one day you will be tested by it.

Bu, vatandaşın devletine ve adalete olan güven bağının kopmasıdır.
