Universality was once regarded as the common standard of morality, law and human values. Today, however, it seems that theft and plunder have also been turned into a kind of universal order. The looters in our country recognize no status or boundaries; they transfer the wealth they have accumulated to other countries. Because countries that thrive on systems of exploitation know very well those who serve their interests through illicit wealth. Yet, despite this, they do not compromise their own legal systems.

Zarrab, Korkmaz and many others compete with one another as actors in this corrupt system, serving structures built on exploitation. They have no concern for the homeland, the nation or faith. They are never satisfied. Do they perhaps search for the elixir of immortality in the countries they flee to? Even if the whole world belonged to them, how many springs would they actually live to see?

Is there still anyone who cannot see these corrupt despots who have purged honest, compassionate and competent people from the country? Are there still those who fail to recognize the hierarchical system of plunder? Is there anyone who does not know who established this “administration designed to serve an arbitrary order”?

Morality is not judged by intention, but by consequence. Character does not reveal itself in poverty; it reveals itself when a person gains power and authority. No one is innocent of a sin merely because they have never been tested by it.

O you pious-looking thieves! Do not tarnish honest and devout people. Do not try to conceal your shamelessness behind the guise of religion or ideology. Your paradigms have collapsed because of your lack of character.

The greatest cause of poverty in a country is those who seize the rights of retirees, young people, villagers, workers and every segment of society. As Ziya Pasha put it:

“Everyone finds those who resemble themselves.”

The late Abdurrahim Karakoç also expressed his rebellion against the system in these lines:

“I am stranded in between, covered in dust and smoke;
I am in a filthy place, in a wretched age.”

O troubled architects of this corrupt order! Do you really believe that your system will continue forever?

Why do those who have lost the ethics of legitimate resistance remain silent? Do the concepts of rights and duties mean nothing to you? Why is silence maintained while an aggressive minority usurps the rights of the majority? Why is it tolerated while some live in paradise and millions are forced to live through hell?

No one can build their prosperity, their reign, their pious appearance, their political power or their wealth upon the impoverishment of others. Any system that turns injustice into a profitable enterprise will eventually corrode society from within.

Status makes no difference. Ethical people serving in associations, foundations, civil society organizations, religious structures or ideological movements should not aspire to personal wealth or state power. Positions of authority exist to serve the people, not to enrich those who hold them.

Those who have lost their sense of shame cannot be expected to possess conscience, compassion or justice. The following words by Sabahattin Ali remain strikingly relevant today:

“There are people who fit into every mold and turn with every wind. They have no character; they have only interests.”

Where immorality is treated as a skill and the guilty and innocent are protected according to which neighborhood they belong to, power takes precedence over law. The words of those who preach and those who make promises remain nothing more than prescriptions on paper; neither implementation nor oversight follows.

If those at the top of the hierarchy become owners of enormous fortunes and are never held accountable, can a just administration possibly emerge from such a system?

Everyone carries a burden that feels heavy to them; some carry their fate, while others carry their sorrow.

Those who claim to enlighten and develop society through lies should first take a look at the pollution they themselves have created.

The path to salvation lies in transparency, oversight, the rule of law, independent institutions and ethical governance. When habits take the place of morality, the price is paid not only by those who govern, but by society as a whole.
