Türkiye Defeat Germany 3-1 to Reach Women’s Volleyball Championship Semifinals

Türkiye’s Women’s National Volleyball Team advanced to the semifinals of the CEV Trendyol 2026 Women’s European Volleyball Championship after beating Germany 3-1 in the quarterfinals. Serbia will be Türkiye’s opponent in the last four.

Türkiye continued its impressive run at the European Championship with a convincing quarterfinal victory over Germany.

The Turkish national team faced Germany at Istanbul’s Sinan Erdem Sports Hall and secured a 3-1 victory after four sets.

Türkiye made a strong start to the match, taking the opening set 25-18 to establish an early lead.

Germany responded in the second set. The German side won a closely contested set 25-22, leveling the match at 1-1.

The Turkish team regained control in the third set and won 25-18, moving one set away from victory.

The fourth set produced another intense battle. Türkiye held its nerve in the decisive moments and closed out the set 25-22 to seal a 3-1 triumph.

The match lasted 122 minutes, with the sets ending 18-25, 25-22, 18-25 and 22-25.

Türkiye will now face Serbia in the semifinal on Saturday as it continues its bid for European Championship glory.
