Catherine reunites with family on Snowdon after Three Peaks Challenge

The Princess of Wales completed the Three Peaks Challenge in north Wales and was greeted by family on Yr Wyddfa, the Royal Household announced on Sunday, with the walk raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and highlighting the importance of holistic care.

Catherine scaled Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland and finished on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) last week, completing the challenge she said offered “a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back.”

The reunion on Snowdon included her husband, the Prince of Wales, their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as Catherine’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her brother James and a family golden retriever.

The princess revealed in 2024 that she was undergoing cancer treatment and in early 2025 announced she was in remission. Kensington Palace previously said details of the diagnosis would not be disclosed but expressed confidence in a full recovery.

After finishing the challenge, Catherine posted a message thanking supporters of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and paid tribute to the hospital as “a place that holds great meaning for me and whose care and expertise are life changing for so many people.”

She said the walk aimed to “raise awareness for the deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare,” adding that whole-person care helps those living through cancer manage the personal challenges of diagnosis.

The Royal Marsden defines holistic care as integrating physical, emotional, spiritual and social wellbeing alongside clinical treatment. The charity launched a fundraising page for the princess’s walk, saying the donations would support more people with cancer to benefit from such care.
