Binance resumes withdrawals after major hack; market reactions and calendar implications analyzed for traders and investors.
Binance resumed withdrawals on Sunday after a security breach that resulted in $6.3 billion being stolen three days earlier. On the first day back online, customers withdrew a net $3.64 billion; the exchange said it has reimbursed roughly 95% of the stolen assets from its own reserves.
Despite the attack, Bitcoin remained relatively resilient, trading near $78,000 on Monday. Market participants described the reaction as muted: deep institutional liquidity appears to have absorbed much of the selling pressure. One analyst suggested that if withdrawals proceed without incident, BTC could stabilize between $76,000 and $80,000 next week and may push toward $82,000 by the weekend.
