He strongly criticized global powers’ attempts to “draw maps with rulers” in the Middle East and emphasized that the only force capable of breaking this encirclement is the vision of national unity and a terror-free Türkiye.

Bahçeli began his speech by stating that the international system has collapsed. Criticizing the world’s silence over the massacres in Gaza and Lebanon, he said:

“The global system has lost its balance; justice has collapsed. Today, truth is crushed under imperial oppression, and law is ground in the machinery of Zionist interests. Washington’s language of threats and Tel Aviv’s massacre policies meet on the same dark table.”

He stressed that the tension in the region is not merely interstate conflict but the continuation of imperial designs such as Sykes-Picot and the Balfour Declaration.

“Terror-Free Türkiye” Vision: A National Security Shield

One of the most striking parts of the speech was Bahçeli’s emphasis on a “Terror-Free Türkiye”.

• Internal Front: “While the smoke of war rises outside, we cannot allow sabotage targeting our brotherhood at home.”
• Proxy Forces: “US pressure along the Iran axis and Israel’s aggressiveness are attempts to deploy terrorist organizations as instruments. The Terror-Free Türkiye will break this game.”

He stated that bribery and corruption allegations in CHP-run municipalities have reached the party leadership:

“Today, CHP appears before the nation as a shadow of internal power struggles, factional conflict, and institutional collapse.”

Bahçeli warned CHP leader Özgür Özel not to escalate internal tensions into public unrest:

“My advice to Mr. Özgür Özel is clear: do not carry internal CHP tensions to the streets. Do not push the party into instability like pressing the gas of an overheating engine. Control the direction before the engine burns and the steering locks. Bitter vinegar harms its own container.”

Historical Awareness and the Determination of “Türkiye Century”

Concluding his speech with a poem by Mehmet Emin Yurdakul, Devlet Bahçeli emphasized the strength of the Turkish nation against all encirclements:

“Our mind is with the state, our heart is with the nation, and our will is aligned with Turkishness and the blessed path of the Türkiye Century.”
