A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the Aegean Sea, approximately 169.72 kilometers from Datça, a district of Muğla in southwestern Türkiye.

According to data released by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake occurred at 02:50:36 local time. The tremor was recorded at a magnitude of 4.2 Mw and a depth of 6.75 kilometers.

The epicenter was determined at 35.39583° north latitude and 26.45183° east longitude. The earthquake was reported to have occurred 169.72 kilometers from Datça.
