Six killed and four injured in Belgorod strikes; governor confirms casualties and reports infrastructure damage amid emergency response efforts.
Six people were killed and four injured in missile strikes on Russia’s Belgorod region overnight, the region’s acting governor, Alexander Shuvaev, said on Telegram early on Monday. The strikes damaged a building and a car in the village of Koloskovo in Valuysky district near the border with Ukraine, and a 14-year-old child among the injured was taken to hospital.
Shuvaev said two other injured people received medical assistance at the scene. The governor’s statement followed an earlier night that officials described as the year’s “largest-scale” attack by Ukraine, in which at least seven people were killed, while Russian strikes on Ukraine that same night killed at least seven people and injured more than 39.
The acting governor’s Telegram post provides the official account of casualties and damage in Koloskovo. The report identifies six fatalities, four injuries including a 14-year-old sent to hospital, and damage limited to a burned building and a damaged vehicle in Valuysky district.
