Samsunspor secure midfielder Elliot Watt from Motherwell on a four-year deal, bolstering midfield strength and long-term ambition.
Samsunspor have signed Scotland Under‑21 midfielder Elliot Watt from Motherwell on a four‑year contract, the Turkish Super Lig club announced after completing an undisclosed transfer fee.
Watt, 26, joined Motherwell last summer following his departure from Burton Albion and played 42 matches as the club finished fourth in the Scottish Premiership and reached the Premier Sports Cup semi‑finals.
Born in Preston, Watt began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers and had spells with Carlisle United, Bradford City, Salford City, Burton Albion and a loan at St Johnstone before moving to Motherwell.
The transfer note confirms Watt’s move to Samsunspor on a four‑year deal and that the fee was undisclosed. Motherwell highlighted Watt’s contribution across 42 appearances in the season that ended with a fourth‑place league finish and a Premier Sports Cup semi‑final. Watt expressed gratitude to the club and supporters for the past 12 months.
