Mauricio Pochettino has argued that Tottenham Hotspur should be retrospectively awarded the 2016-17 Premier League title after a Premier League investigation found Chelsea made undisclosed payments to agents and third parties related to transfers between 2011 and 2018.

The inquiry concluded Chelsea made about 47m in secret payments linked to transfers including Eden Hazard, Willian, David Luiz and Nemanja Matic. Four of those players were part of Chelsea’s squad during the 2016-17 season when the club won the league with 93 points, seven clear of Spurs.
