Kemal Albayrak evaluated Devlet Bahçeli’s statements at the MHP group meeting and emphasized justice in the context of the “terror-free Türkiye” discourse. He drew attention to individuals he claims were victimized by KHK decrees despite having no connection to armed activity, stating that social peace cannot be achieved through discrimination. Stressing that justice must be applied equally to all, Albayrak called for these individuals to be heard.
Mr. Devlet Bahçeli addressed important issues at the MHP group meeting. It is important to voice the pain of our martyrs, veterans, the strength of the internal front, a terror-free Türkiye, peace, external developments, concerns, economic difficulties, the functioning of institutions, the responsibility of administrators, Mother’s Day, and the suffering of our students and teachers who were lost in Kahramanmaraş. However, regarding a terror-free Türkiye, while there are messages of peace toward those associated with armed terrorism, are those who never took up arms but were arbitrarily dismissed by KHKs, excluded with injustice, hatred, and resentment, not also the children of this country? Does this not trouble the conscience? If these people had taken up arms, would they have benefited from the “terror-free Türkiye” approach?
Consider this: Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan, opposition party leaders Babacan, Davutoğlu, İYİ Party representatives, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, and many other political figures have voiced this injustice. Despite this, who are those sowing and reaping these outcomes? Are there not external factors at play? Can there be a “terror-free Türkiye” built on discrimination even in social peace? Does discrimination based on one’s community not create concern?
Reason, science, law, and moral thinking must take risks for the benefit of the country without discrimination. One would hope that these people are listened to, so it can be seen that they have not been involved in terrorism. Justice is enough. Justice does not equate the right with the wrong. Where does justice stand for those who have been deprived of everything and whose children are even stigmatized?
When speaking of the Prophets Ilyas and Hızır, what is the meaning of a belief that says, “Do not let your hatred for a community lead you away from justice?” 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
