Minister unveils a regional healthcare funding plan to boost Ankara hospitals, improving resources, services and patient care across the region.
The government announced a regional healthcare funding plan for Ankara hospitals, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday, aiming to allocate additional resources to public hospitals beginning next month.
The ministry stated the funding will support equipment upgrades and staffing needs at several Ankara facilities. Officials said allocations will be distributed based on hospital capacity and patient volume.
According to the Health Ministry, detailed guidelines and the list of receiving hospitals will be published within days. The announcement included a timetable for disbursing funds to ensure prompt implementation.
Ministry representatives noted the plan follows assessments of service shortfalls identified during recent inspections. They emphasized that the measures aim to reduce patient wait times and improve emergency response capabilities.
Health officials also indicated that monitoring mechanisms will be established to track how funds are used. Regular progress reports will be required from beneficiary hospitals to maintain transparency.
The ministry said training programs for medical staff will accompany equipment purchases where needed. Officials added that partnerships with regional health directorates will coordinate the distribution and oversight efforts.
Further operational details, including exact funding amounts per hospital, will be released according to the ministry’s published schedule. The ministry concluded that the initiative is designed to strengthen public healthcare delivery in Ankara in the coming months.
