Sutton U23s beat Jersey Bulls Women 3-0, handing the Bulls their first league defeat in a commanding performance.
The Jersey Bulls Women lost 3-0 to Sutton United Under-23s in the Surrey Premier Division, marking the club’s first league defeat after promotion from Surrey Division One.
After a goalless first half at Sutton’s ground, Rachel Marlow opened the scoring shortly after the restart with a flicked-on free kick. Neriyah Anderson-Bailey doubled the lead from the edge of the box following a corner, and Maya Anderson completed the 3-0 victory.
The defeat follows the Bulls’ recent FA Cup loss, making this their second consecutive defeat in all competitions. Jersey Bulls will travel to Oxted and District next week, while Sutton United U23s secured three points from the match.
The result ends Jersey Bulls Women’s previously perfect league run after promotion. Sutton United Under-23s took the lead early in the second half and converted set-piece opportunities to secure a clear win.
