Economist, former 21st Term Istanbul MP, and former Motherland Party (ANAP) Chairwoman Nesrin Nas sharply criticized Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s recent remarks. Nas described the speech as “unfortunate” and also took issue with his comments regarding Halk TV.
Economist, former 21st Term Istanbul Member of Parliament, and former Chairwoman of the Motherland Party (ANAP), Nesrin Nas, made striking comments about former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
In a statement shared on social media, Nas harshly criticized Kılıçdaroğlu’s recent speech, arguing that his remarks were highly unfortunate from a political perspective.
Nas wrote:
“Kılıçdaroğlu’s speech was very unfortunate. He almost repeated Tom Barrack’s arguments. His targeting of Halk TV was, quite frankly, horrifying. It is obvious that he is very pleased with the annulment decision. In effect, he openly called on the government not to leave the matter unfinished and to come and support it.”
Nas’s comments focused particularly on Kılıçdaroğlu’s statements regarding media organizations and the ongoing debates surrounding the CHP congress process. While criticizing what she described as the targeting of Halk TV, Nas also questioned Kılıçdaroğlu’s stance on the controversial annulment discussions.
The comments drew significant attention on social media and within political circles at a time when tensions and debates within the opposition continue. Nas’s statements have once again brought discussions over leadership and congress-related disputes within the CHP to the forefront of Turkey’s political agenda.
