Sabahattin Ali once said: “There are some people who fit themselves into every mold and turn with every wind. They have no character of their own; they have only their interests.”

A corrupt regime has destroyed these values as well. Anyone who stands against a corrupt system, and defends freedom, rights, the rule of law and justice, pays a price for doing so. It was the same yesterday, and it is the same today.

The aim of those who benefit from corruption is clear: “The corruption, dishonesty, exploitation and injustice belong to us; let our system continue.”

Those who are decent and honorable must abandon their factional loyalties and stand against such wrongdoing.

Standing alongside opportunists who fit into every mold and turn with every wind is itself immoral.

Everyone carries a burden of their own. Some carry their destiny, while others carry their sorrow.

Those who support oppression are also partners in it. 🇹🇷
